BRAZIL / Pulped Fiction Dark Roast
Pulped Fiction is our interpretation of a darker roast done with restraint.
Crafted from a pulped natural Yellow Catuai, this coffee delivers the richness and body many coffee drinkers seek in a darker roast while preserving the character and sweetness of the bean. Rather than roasting to the point of bitterness, we developed a profile that builds depth and boldness without masking the coffee's natural qualities.
Expect a full-bodied cup with low acidity, notes of roasted nuts and dark chocolate, and a smooth, lingering finish.
Produced by an association of seven small farms in Brazil, this lot represents their first venture into international export, and we are proud to have been among their first customers abroad.
The pulped natural process—also known as semi-washed—sits between washed and natural processing. The skin of the coffee cherry is removed before drying, while much of the fruit remains on the bean. The result is a coffee that combines the sweetness and body of a natural with the balance and clarity of a washed coffee, creating a cup that is both comforting and remarkably refined.
